When children attend Shiremoor Primary School, we provide an inclusive environment that tries to support children in achieving their potential personally, socially, emotionally, physically and educationally and, where we are limited in the support that we can offer, we try to access specialist support and advice to enable children to have what they need within mainstream, or to support parents in seeking the right provision for their child.

The Educational Psychology Service
Who are the Educational Psychology Service and what do they do?
Special Educational Needs Register
Children who are listed on the Special Educational Needs register will receive a support plan with individual personalised targets. Children will receive support to meet these targets and outcomes will be assessed and revised at the end of each term.
Children will be supported to complete their SEND Support Plan. This is aiming to encourage independence, helping children to take ownership of their learning.
Children will receive no more than three individual targets per term based on their needs and will be supported to achieve these.
