School Menu

Please see below for the 4 week menu.

After Easter, we will be working with Mellors Catering. We are very excited about this new partnership whilst retaining our current kitchen team.

All children in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 are eligible for Universal Infant Free School Meals, but you must complete an application form to register. If you do not complete a free meal application form you will have to pay for meals from Year 3.

Paying for School Meals

Parents are already familiar with the School Gateway App, which is where you will pay for school meals.

These must be paid for in advance as there will be a 'no debt' policy. This is because school will now be liable for any debts incurred by parents and we cannot afford this money coming out of our education budget.

The School Gateway App should support you in knowing how much credit you have and you are welcome to contact the office to ask for any advice and support.

We would never see a child go hungry but, where a meal is not paid for in advance, parents will be asked to provide a packed lunch. If a packed lunch is not provided, school will provide a basic lunch rather than a dinner being provided by the kitchen.

Benefit-based Free School Meals

To check eligibility for benefit-based free school meals you must apply online at www.gov.uk/apply-free-school-meals, or contact the school office for more information. The school receives funding for every child registered so it is important you do this even if your child receives free meals due to being in Key Stage 1.

Please note you only need to apply once while your child is in Key Stage 1.

Food Allergies and Intolerances

Mellor's Catering recognise the importance of making school meals available for everyone and that includes children with food allergies and intolerances.

The kitchen will continue to be a nut free environment and the majority of the top 14 allergens will not be used in school.

Parents of allergic children have been offered a meeting with school staff to ensure we have the most in depth and up to date information to keep your child safe. If your child requires a medically prescribed diet and you have not yet met with staff to update this, please contact the school office to arrange a meeting.

In the interest of safety a meal cannot be provided for your child until you have met and updated staff at school.

A menu will be compiled for your child to suit the diet required and implemented with the Unit Supervisor in your child's school.

Please remember we are a nut free school and no products containing  peanuts or tree nuts should be brought to school.
