Shiremoor Primary School follows North Tyneside Council’s Admissions Policy, which is fully explained in their own brochure and is available from the school or local libraries.

Parents are advised to apply online. No reminders will be sent as part of this process if no form or application is made by the closing date. Parents that do not apply or apply late risk not getting a place at the school of their choice. Information has been sent to all schools/Private Providers/ Customer Service Centres and is available on the Council’s website for parents.
If you are concerned that your child may have additional needs requiring more support than that available in mainstream nursery provision, please ensure that you seek advice from your Health Visitor, or the school SENCO, as soon as you have this awareness so that you can receive advice about how to ensure your child accesses the correct support and provision.

The admission number for Shiremoor Primary School is set at 60 and 52 part-time pupils in the school nursery. This has been agreed by the Governing Body.
If your child’s date of birth is between 1st September 2019 to 31st August 2020 you should have already completed an application for September 2024.
If your child’s date of birth is between 1st September 2020 to 31st August 2021 you will be able to apply from early September. The best way to apply is online however, forms available from the school office and should be returned to The Access Team, Floor 3, North Tyneside Council, Quadrant West, Silverlink North, Cobalt Business Park, North Tyneside, NE27 0BY.
