Attendance and Behaviour
Regular attendance and positive behaviour are essential foundations for children’s success-both in school and in later life. Attending school consistently and on time helps children build the habits, resilience, and responsibility that will support them in the world of work and beyond.
At our school, we are committed to ensuring every child receives their full educational entitlement. We also help children understand the important link between attending school, engaging in learning, and achieving their future goals.
We want children to enjoy coming to school. Through a rich and engaging curriculum, strong relationships, and a supportive environment, we encourage every child to develop a love of learning and a desire to be their very best. Good attendance and punctuality are not only vital for academic progress, but also help children learn how to work with others, manage routines, and contribute positively to a community.
We recognise that families may sometimes face challenges that affect attendance or behaviour. We are here to work in partnership with parents and carers, offering support and guidance wherever possible to help overcome these barriers.
In order to maximise learning time and ensure a safe environment for all, we place a strong emphasis on behaviour. Learning to behave appropriately is a key life skill that prepares children to thrive in society.
Our school is built around four simple rules that all children understand and follow:
Be brave. Be kind. Be ready. Be safe.
These values help create a calm, respectful, and purposeful learning environment where every child can thrive. Visitors to our school consistently comment on the excellent behaviour and positive atmosphere. This is supported by our skilled staff, who are carefully trained to build strong relationships, establish clear routines, and manage behaviour proactively.
We believe every child has the right to learn in a safe, structured environment, free from disruption.
